Prying action in bolted steel circular flange connections

Both the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) Handbook of Steel Construction and the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Manual of Steel Construction discuss prying action in tee-type and angle-type connections subjected to tensile force, but no guidance is provided for determining the prying force in bolted steel circular flange connections.
