Production Way/University Station uses an all steel frame to form the support and canopy for the station. The side walls, which are made from round HSS sections, were delivered in prefabricated sections to the site. The curved roof trusses were ultimately clad.

As part of the urban art initiative that is a requirement of each station, the steel frame along the closed side of the station is used to frame triangular shaped fins that each hold a rainbow of stained glass installations. These filter the light that enters the station late in the day.
